Course Description – Dawley Institute of Technology
The Carpenter (Wood) Course at Dawley Institute of Technology is a twelve-week program designed to provide a strong foundation in woodworking and carpentry. This course includes a balanced mix of theory, practical training, assignments, and assessments to help students build real skills.
At the beginning, students will learn the basics of woodworking, including different types of wood, tools, and safety procedures. As the course progresses, they will move on to advanced techniques such as joinery, wood finishing, and cabinet making. Each topic includes hands-on practice to ensure students gain real experience.
Students will also learn how to plan projects, read blueprints, and complete woodworking tasks from start to finish with accuracy and quality.
Certification
The Carpenter (Wood) Course at Dawley Institute of Technology focuses on practical skills and real-world experience. By the end of the course, students will complete a final project where they design and build a wood-based item, such as furniture.
